In the snow regions Furman Football is very popular and the kids used to have a great time playing foot ball. In my school days, I was the defender in the school foot ball team and once the opposite team trounced our team by scoring a dozen goals and the entire team was criticized to the core by the coach and I was made the mid fielder and all the positions changed in the Furman Football match that we played against the near school which is supposed to be a weak team. In the first half we dominated the entire Furman Football match and score a couple of goals. I score a goal from a free kick during the closing hours of the first half. In the second half of the Furman Football match, the entire game changed and the opposite team was attacking furiously and scored 2 goals very easily in the starting 15 minutes and then the match became exciting and still we were defending and the scare came when the opposite team scored the third goal in the 75^th minute. There is no other way for us rather than to attack and our coach made substitutions in the Furman Football match and replaced the mid fielders with attackers and the next 15 minutes belonged to us. The opposite team after getting the one goal advantage in the Furman Football match went in to a shell and was defending their score. We took this as an opportunity and attacked fiercely and in the next 5 minutes, one of our strikers turned the corner kick in to a goal and the scores were level and the opposite team had changed their gear completely and were on the attack with just 2 minutes of play left in the Furman Football match. Even the goalie of the opposite team was in the mid field and every one were attacking and a striker hit our goal post and our goalie fiercely struck the foot ball to the other corner and it was a goal in the opposite half and the final whistle was blown and finally we won the Furman Football match after a lot of thrilling and exciting moments in the match. We were praised in front of the school during the prayer time and were given a lot of prizes and gifts and we had a special recognition from that day onwards in the school and we played really well in the next matches to keep our record in tact.
